The Crossing had a good storyline, with an interesting concept, decent actors, and good twists and turns. It's a shame they cancel this promising show. You wonder who is the moron that decides such a thing. He or she is just incompetent.
Jude Ellis (Steve Zahn) works as the sheriff in the peaceful town of Port Canaan. However, the city gets turned upside down when refugees wash up on the beach, running from a country afflicted by war.

Certainly not everything portrayed happened (how can one know exactly what went on over two hundred years ago) but the details of the crossing and the battle were accurate enough from what I know of U.S. history, and the movie itself was dramatic and held my attention from start to finish.
